Auf der Suche nach der optimalen Performance für die RE Interceptor und RE Continental haben wir für euch ausgiebig die Gleitfunken Zündkerze AOR14LGS von Brisk getestet.

Eine Gleitfunken Zündkerze ist anders aufgebaut ist als eine herkömmliche Zündkerze. Eine klassische Masseelektrode gibt es hier nicht, die Funken springen vom geschlitzten Außenrand der Kerze auf die Silber Mittelelektrode über, - Silber deshalb da dieses Material bessere elektrische Eigenschaften hat als Stahl, Iridium oder auch Platin. Strömungstechnisch optimal da symmetrisch ist auch die Funkenlage tiefer im Brennraum.

Eine größere Zündsicherheit ergibt sich durch acht mögliche Funkenstrecken. Hierbei entsteht ein extrem langer Gleitfunken, der rundum (360°) überspringen kann. Der Funke überspringt immer an dem Punkt mit der höchsten Kraftstoffkonzentration wohingegen die konventionelle Zündkerze nur einen definierten Punkt des Funkenüberschlages kennt. Unser ausführlicher Test war dazu sehr erfolgreich.

In search of the optimal performance for the RE Interceptor, we have extensively tested for you the sliding spark plug AOR14LGS from Brisk.
A glide spark plug has a different design than a conventional spark plug. There is no classic ground electrode, the sparks jump from the slotted outer edge of the plug to the silver center electrode, - silver because this material has better electrical properties than steel, iridium or platinum. The spark position is also deeper in the combustion chamber because it is symmetrical.
A greater ignition reliability results from eight possible spark gaps. This produces an extremely long gliding spark that can jump all around (360°). The spark always jumps over at the point with the highest fuel concentration, whereas the conventional spark plug only knows one defined point of sparkover. Our extensive test was very successful.

Une bougie d'allumage à étincelle est conçue différemment d'une bougie d'allumage classique. Il n'y a pas d'électrode de masse classique, les étincelles passent du bord extérieur fendu de la bougie à l'électrode centrale en argent - l'argent parce que ce matériau a de meilleures propriétés électriques que l'acier, l'iridium ou le platine. Du point de vue de la technique d'écoulement, la position des étincelles est également optimale car symétrique, plus bas dans la chambre de combustion.
Une plus grande sécurité d'allumage est obtenue grâce aux huit éclateurs possibles. Il en résulte une étincelle glissante extrêmement longue, qui peut sauter tout autour (360°). L'étincelle jaillit toujours au point de plus forte concentration de carburant, alors que la bougie d'allumage conventionnelle ne connaît qu'un point défini de jaillissement de l'étincelle. Notre test détaillé a été très concluant.

Alla ricerca delle prestazioni ottimali per il RE Interceptor, abbiamo ampiamente testato la candela AOR14LGS di Brisk.
Una candela glide ha un design diverso da una candela convenzionale. Non c'è il classico dispersore qui, le scintille saltano dal bordo esterno scanalato della spina all'elettrodo centrale d'argento - argento perché questo materiale ha proprietà elettriche migliori dell'acciaio, dell'iridio o del platino. Essendo simmetrica, la posizione della scintilla è anche ottimale in termini di tecnologia del flusso, più profonda nella camera di combustione.
